<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a display panel by using one mask irrespective of the size of the display panel by cutting specific parts of wiring except in the display area of a 1st transparent substrate and obtaining electrodes for external connection which connect the wiring to an external circuit. CONSTITUTION:The specific parts of gate wiring 5 and source wiring 6 except in the display area are fused with laser beam, etc., to form the electrodes for external connection. A 2nd transparent substrate 1 is fixed integrally onto the display area of the 1st transparent substrate by adhesion technique and the electrodes for external connection are connected to an external circuit board through anisotropic conductive rubber. Consequently, only the 1st transparent substrate 1 where switching elements are formed is standardized previously to optional size to obtain the display panel by using one mask irrespective of the size of the display panel.</p> |
