A power station has a turbine driving a generator and a diesel engine driving a second generator. The exhaust of the turbine is condensed by heat exchange with liquified natural gas. The vapour for the turbine is evapd. in three heat exchangers in series. The first is heated by a circuit which runs through the cooling circuit of the diesel driven generator, the diesel engine oil cooler and the diesel engine cooling water radiator as well as the final after cooler of the diesel engine supercharger compressor. The second heater is served from the first after cooler of the diesel engine supercharger compressor. The third heater draws heat from the exhaust of the diesel engine supercharger turbine.
