The support for a picture or document comprises a back fitting into a groove in a frame. The back and the document are held in place in the frame by means of a protective piece. The protective piece consists of a flexible sheet resting at the same time against the back and against the behind surface of the frame. The front surface of hte protective piece is self-adhesive. A pull-off tab is positioned on the sheet.
