When a button (A) is pressed, the press-down wheel (1) is pushed away from the drive shaft (3) via levers (2). A paper sheet or a work folder can be inserted into the horizontal guide rail (4). The left-hand edge of the form should coincide with the zero point of the scale (C), in order to indicate how long the appliance has already been switched on. When the button (B) is tapped, the pencil (E) draws an initial, intermediate or final marking on the paper sheet. When the button (B) is depressed completely, it engages. The pencil remains on the paper sheet and, with the appliance switched on, draws a continuous line. The recorder is switched on and off by means of the luminous button (D). The paper feed is either 1 cm or 1 mm per hour. If there are work interruptions, the appliance is switched off, and the luminous button (D) is extinguished. The effective worktime can be measured (for example, 2.2 cm = 2.2 hours). This is unnecessary if there is an appropriate print of the unit of time on the form. With a longer working time, the intermediate markings can be either identified or masked. If a continuous line marking is used, the recording height can be adjusted. <IMAGE>
