PURPOSE:To simplify the control system used for obtaining the suitable driving state by opposing a primary or a third clutch to a friction member and obtaining the proper driving state according to the condition of the surface of the road and the driving state. CONSTITUTION:A friction member 18 which is turned integrally with a transmission member 8 and able to make friction therewith is mounted on the transmission member 3. A primary clutch C1 which engages or disengages a transmission member 8 with or from a primary rotary member 22a by the friction action of the friction member 18, a secondary clutch C2 which engages or disengages the transmission member 8 with or from the secondary rotary member 22b and a third clutch C3 which engages or disengages the secondary rotary member 22b with or from the side gear of a differential gear mechanism 10 are opposed to the friction member 18. By the friction action of this friction member 18 the suitable driving state according to the condition of the surface of the road or the driving state may be obtained, whereby simplifying the control system used to obtain the suitable driving state. As a result, the cost may be reduced throughout the equipment and there is no possibility of a trouble. |
