A flux for soldering iron and copper and alloys of these metals is made by mixing 45-55% of potassium fluorhydrate (KHF2) with 55-45% of boric acid and drying the pasty composition below 300 DEG C. The two substances are preferably mixed as powders in the dry state, air dried and then dried at 200-300 DEG C.
