The radiotelephone is used in association with a car radio. It includes a transceiver unit (1) in its own housing bu without a received amplifier or loudspeaker. It has a cable connection (4, 4') a hand microphone and indicator unit (3). A second cable (7) connects the unit to the car radio (2) for amplification and reproduction of incoming messages. The transmitter receiver unit (1) is also powered through the car radio (2). The microphone receiver unit (3) is used to switch the radio from normal broadcast reception to radiotelephone use.
