<p>PURPOSE:To achieve the prevention of recording breakdown of the magnetic cartridges held in a carrousel by detecting the member to be detected when the magnetic cartridge is indexed in the read-write position thereby stopping the operation of the read-write part. CONSTITUTION:A recess 5 of a suitable depth is provided at an equal spacing in the circumferential direction near each magnetic cartridge holding part 3. A sensor 6 is installed to a read-write part 2. When a plunger 4 is lowered where the magnetic cartridge 20 to be desired to be prevented of recording breakdown is held indexed, the sensor 6 is also lowered in cooperation therewith. When the stylus 8 of the sensor touches the cover 7, it is pushed into the sensor against the energizing force of the spring provided in the sensor. Where this forcing-in quantity reaches specified quantity, the top end of the stylus 8 engages to the switch provided in the sensor 6. The switch in turn sends out a signal. Arrangement is so made that the operation of the read-write part 2 is stopped by this signal, whereby recording breakdown may be prevented.</p> |
