The waste bin housing (1) and its support plate (2) which is connected to the cupboard door (6) are of a hexagonal honeycomb shape. The sides (10) of the support plate which meet at an acute angle are mounted on the door so that when the door is closed and the support plate is moved the side (11) of the plate (2) lies at a distance from the swivel axis of the door so as to form a triangular space to take the rotary lever fitment (4) between the inside wall of the door, the inside wall of the cupboard and the bin housing. The lid is automatically removed from the bin housing as the door opens by means of a lift rod (7) mounted on the fitment (4).
