<p>A cable wound up on a drum in a housing is withdrawable from the housing, following release of a ratchet spur-wheel linked to the drum. An end notch insertable in a housing recess is protected from withdrawal by a barrier blocked by a lock. The barrier element is in the form of a cover(4) on the housing. The lock is cylinder type(2) set coaxially on the drum(5). With the cover open the ratchet pawl(12) automatically releases the drum, which has a hand-wheel fixed to it. The pawl can be in the form of a leaf-spring and the lid under the pressure of a helical compression-spring(7).</p> |
