The device has a contact mechanism water meter as signal emitter, which comprises an impeller (3) which is driven by the water flowing through and which triggers emission of a signal via a gear. After an adjustable number of signals, the regeneration of an exchanger resin or an inoculation is initiated. In order to make possible an adaptation to different water hardnesses without having to associate the water meter or the contact mechanism with variable gears or electronic or electrical addition systems, a rotatable valve (11) with a bore (12) for varying the inflow cross-section is provided in the inflow (4) to the impeller (3) of the water meter. This valve allows an infinite variation of the ratio between the speed of rotation of the impeller (3) and the flow rate within a sufficiently wide range. <IMAGE> |
