<p>The system continuously delivers a stream of curds and whey generated by tipping out vessels containing a mixt. of them and straining off the free whey in the process. On commencement of tipping, the whey initially discharged, and which is free of solids, is delivered into a separate whey trough. Then the curds largely free of whey are discharged into a curds trough. From the latter they are directed to a whey-removal filter belt. By metered fluid supply a stream of curds and whey of constant proportions can be maintained in the curds trough.</p> |
