PURPOSE:To achieve the simplification of the device and the improvement fo its reliability by so constituting the device that its switching means is actuated by turning a detecting member about the same axis as the central axis of a roller. CONSTITUTION:A detecting lever 16 is turnably loosely fitted via ring 15 to the driven shaft mounted with an upper paper discharge roller 12 and one end side thereof which is formed as a protruding part 16a of U-form is entered between said roller and a lower paper discharge roller 14. The other end side 16b is extended upward and is contacted to the actuator 18 provided to a microswitch 17. Then, when the sheet S having been fixed with toner images between a fixing roller 3 and a lower pressing roller 5 enters a detector 1, the protruding part 16a of the detecting lever 16 is pushed by the sheet S and the detecting lever 16 turns about the driven shaft 11. Its other end side 16b then presses the actuator 18, thereby causing the microswitch 17 to actuate and electrically detect the presence of the sheet S. |
