Coupling for fixing flexible hoses - having conical insert with slots which is pushed through circular opening to hold end of hose

Tight seal is achieved on a flexible hose using a connector on the end of the hose. This connector has a nipple which fits inside the hose and which has a conical section at the opposite end. The house is pushed over the nipple against a circular shoulder. Above this is the conical section which has a series of slots in it. These slots allow the protruding section of the nipple to be compressed s it is pushed through a hole e.g. in a flat plate. In this way a seal is made. Used for sealing the end of flexible hoses e.g. into a filter housing. Allows simple insertion and removal of the coupling.
