The articulated coupling has the two rotating plates (6, 7) mounted on the chassis (1) on a longitudinal axis (12) to tilt sideways. The tilt action is braced by two dampers (22) while the coupling is completed by a transverse coupling bar (3) on the top plate. The trailer drawbar is able to move in all directions relative to the towing unit while any lateral tilting of the trailer does not strain the coupling and is damaged by the dampers.
