<p>Injection syringe for cylindrical ampoules and provided at its distal end with a threaded spigot for mounting of an injection needle, has the spigot provided with a radial slot. The slot pref. extends axially through the spigot and through the adjacent part of the housing such that the ampoule and the injection needle can be removed as an integral unit following completion of the injection. Width of slot is wide enough to permit removal of largest dia. injection needle. Needle does not require to be removed from the ampoule after the injection whereby possible injury to, and infection of operator's fingers or hand is prevented.</p> |
