A step stool having a base 10 with a step 25 formed into one of its sides and a single aperture in its top surface through which a step assembly of at least one step 28 and a platform 8 operate at an angle from the horizontal, usable both in a collapsed position 9 shown and in an extended position. When collapsed, the step assembly fits around the step in the base without impingement. The step assembly has a stop means 10 at its lower end which assists in locking it in place in the extended position, and also keeps it from pulling completely out of the base during operation. <IMAGE> |
