PURPOSE:To obtain 2 novel title molded article having improved function, e.g., ion exchange and adsorption of an intermediate- or a high-molecular weight substance and adsorption of an enzyme and a fungus, etc., by treating a molded article of an insoluble aromatic monovinyl polymer having acrylamidomethyl groups. CONSTITUTION:A molded article of an unsoluble aromatic monovinyl polymer having acrylamidomethyl groups is treated with an amino compound, e.g., dimethyl amine, etc., preferably at 50-100 deg.C for 0.1-20 hours to give the desired molded article of an insoluble aromatic monovinyl polymer having beta-aminopropionamidomethyl groups, wherein at least 1 mol % of an aromatic nucleus in the insoluble aromatic monovinyl polymer is substituted by beta-aminopropionamidomethyl group, and having amid groups in the middle of side chains and terminal amino groups in the side chains. |
