PURPOSE:To reduce fuel unit by regulating the amt. of gas to be supplied in the early stage until the temp. inside a furnace reaches a predetermined set temp. to a value decided in accordance with the max. thickness of slabs to be charged and the occupied area ratio of the slabs to the hearth. CONSTITUTION:The amt. of gas to be supplied in the early stage until the temp. inside a furnace reaches a set temp. immediately after charging slabs is regulated to a value decided in accordance with the max. thickness of the slabs and the occupied area ratio of the slabs to the hearth. For example, assuming that the max. thickness is t mm, the occupied area ratio gamma, and the constant depending upon the furnace (furnace efficiency) alpha, the amt. of gas to be supplied in the early stage is calculated by 4t+40gamma+alpha. After the temp. in the furnace reaches the predetermined temp., the amt. of gas to be supplied is reduced while maintaining the set temp. as usual. |
