<p>A planar-type elongated multiple flashlamp unit is provided having two opposite ends and two plug-in connector tabs, one tab at each end. The flashlamp unit includes a reflector unit having a plurality of reflector cavities facing in the same direction. Photoflash lamps are mounted so that each of the lamps is positioned within a corresponding one of the reflector cavities. A circuitboard connected to the lamps is arranged to flash the lamps in sequence. The plug-in connector tabs include an integral part of the circuitboard, and one or the other of the connector tabs can electrically connect the circuitboard to a camera socket. The connector tabs are arranged to prevent reverse insertion in the camera socket by having the body portion of each connector tab contoured to include a pair of ear elements for mechanical engagement with a correspondingly-shaped opening in the camera socket. Each connector tab has one of the pair of ear elements provided with a notch to interface with a post element of the camera socket.</p> |
