A process for the preparation of non-complement-fixing gamma-globulin suitable for intravenous application comprises treating products containing natural gamma-globulin, especially plasma or serum, or standard gamma-globulin with an agent showing akylating or acylating properties and isolating the product by a method known for the fractionation of gamma-globulin. Suitable agents include lactones, e.g. #-propiolactone, lactams, alkyl halides, acid chlorides, imido-acid esters and diazomethane. |
