PURPOSE:To ensure high adhesion between a base and a dye-receiving layer and ensure favorable releasability between an image-receiving medium (dye- receiving layer) and a transfer recording medium by providing the receiving layer with a gradient of silicone oil content so that the silicone coil content of the layer is higher at a free surface part than at a part adjacent to the base. CONSTITUTION:An image-receiving medium comprises, on an image-receiving base A, a dye-receiving layer B comprising a resin dyeable with a heat- sublimable dye as a main constituent and comprising a silicone oil, the content of the silicone oil in the layer B being higher at a free surface part B-2 than at a part B-1 adjacent to the base A. With this construction, the releasability between the dye-receiving layer B and a dye transfer layer 4 is high, and since the part B-1 adjacent to the base A contains only a comparatively smaller amount of the silicone oil, adhesion between the base A and the dye-receiving layer B is maintained to be high, and delamination between the base A and the layer B is prevented. |
