PURPOSE:To prevent the rotation of a rotary polyhedral mirror body from becoming unstable and scanning position from becoming non-constant by making the spacing or inclination of float members to reference planes adjustable. CONSTITUTION:A rotary polyhedral mirror having reference planes 1a, 1b is coupled to the revolving shaft 5 of a motor 6 by a member 2 which has flexibility and a plurality of floating members 14 are provided with respect to the reference planes. The float members 14 are fitted in the through-holes 18 of substrates 9, 10 by holders 24 and are surely held to the substrates 9, 10 via the holders 24 by means of the elastic force of compression springs 27. The protrusion quantity and inclination of the float members 14 to the surface of the substrates 9, 10 are adjustable by adjusting three adjust screws 21, by which they may be adjusted so as to obviate the creation of disturbances in the flow of the air flowing between the rotary polyhedral mirror 1 and floats 14. |
