<p>PURPOSE:To manufacture a copper-clad rainwater pipe, economically, by covering a plastic pipe with a sheet obtained by coating a chemically colored copper foil with a corrosion-resistant clear coating, anf further applying a clear layer to the surface of the coating. CONSTITUTION:A surface of a copper foil 1 is colored by the chemical treatment (e.g. sulfuration, oxidation, etc.) and coated with a water-soluble acrylic clear lacquer containing an anti-corrosive agent to form a corrosion-resistant clear layer 2. The copper sheet 3 thus obtained is applied to the outer circumference of a plastic pipe 4 with an adhesive 6, and the both ends of the sheet 3 are folded to form a seamed joint 7. Finally, a clear layer 5 is applied to the outer surface of the sheet 3 by coating with a clear lacquer composed of, e.g. acrylic resin, polyurethane resin, etc., to obtain the objective copper-clad rainwater pipe.</p> |
