PURPOSE:To prevent the efficiency of utilization over an entire network from lowering by making an incoming station control, according to an overload, the traffic to the area or subscriber by receiving the indication from a traffic controller. CONSTITUTION:Convergence detector DET detects at the switchboard of an incoming station that overload traffic has been applied to a specific area or subscriber, and traffic control CONT determines, judging from the detection information of detector DET, the connection control ratio to the area or subscriber and then transmits it to each originating station. According to the indication of controller CONT, connection controller RCIE controls at an originating station the connection of the traffic to the convergence area or subscriber. At the incoming station, the traffic to this area or subscriber is controlled, according to the indication from controller CONT, corresponding to the overload. Consequently, the efficiency of utilization over the entire network can be prevented from lowering. |
