The plastics spacer (1) has a multi-leg cross-secion, the legs (5) being uniform dimensions and radiation from a node. A longitudinal necked hinge (7) connects each leg to the node allowing the units to be folded flat for storage and the unit is placed in joint intersection with the axial length (14) normal to the wall. Typical sections have three and four legs, being utilised with polygonal and square tiles respectively, and the spacers may be built into the tiling or removed as work proceeds. The lengths (14) of the built in varieties are less than tile thickness and they are covered with jointing cement. |
