PURPOSE:After a wooden neneer is pretreated with a thermosetting acrylic resin, an overlay paper sheet impregnated with a thermosetting resin is laminated therewith by heating under pressure to produce a decorative sheet with beautiful natural wood grain with no advese effect on the intrinsic color tone. CONSTITUTION:A veneer of wood as zelkova (keyaki) is pretreated with an epoxy group containing thermosetting acrylic resin (A) prepared by adding a hardening agent as ethylenediamine (b) to an acrylic copolymer containing 2-20 mole % of (meth)acrylic glycidyl ester as the essential component (a) and then a overlaying paper or cloth sheet (B) impregnated with a thermosetting resin as a blend resin from diallyl phthalate-unsaturated polyester resin is laminated with the veneer (A) by heating under pressure to produce a decorative sheet with the natural wood surface.
