PURPOSE:To effectively carry out photopolymerization or thermal reaction etc. and to enable to rapidly dry and harden the material to be treated, by discharging electricity irradiating microwave electric power of high power density on discharge lamp, such as mercury lamp etc. and irradiating on the material to be treated, such as paint etc. CONSTITUTION:The printed or painted material to be treated 108 is passed through the inside vacant space (the irradiating part 107b) of inner tube of the ultraviolet rays generating tube 107 so as not to contact with tube wall. On the one hand, microwave electric power is transmitted to the isolator 012, the power monitor 103, the impedance matching box 104 and the waveguide 105, by operating the microwave oscillator 101 and ultraviolet rays are generated by irradiating the above power on the mercury lamp 107. Hereby, the ultraviolet rays are irradiated on the material 108 from all directions and ink for printing painting is rapidly dried by photopolymerization or thermal reaction. Irradiating treatment having a good uniformity, is able to carry out, because the distance from the discharge part to the material 108 placed on irradiating part,is always kept constant. |
