PURPOSE:To prevent the oxidation of the surface of a metallic ground and to improve adhesivity between the surface and a coated film and crack resistance, by coating a substrate with a primer consisting of an aqueous solution of a specific dithiol-S-triazine derivative. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution of a dithiol-S-triazine derivative, e.g., 2-anilino-4,6-dithiol-S-triazine monosodium shown by the formula {R is NR'2, NHR', SM [R' is H, substituted lower alkyl, substituted phenyl, substituted benzyl, substituted naphthyl, or substituted cyclohexyl (the substituent is H, OH, COOH, or NH2)]; M is sodium, potassium, H, or amine and at least one M is sodium or potassium} is used as a primer. A substrate is treated with a primer, washed with water, dried, coated by dipping, and cured to give a coated material. |
