PURPOSE:To apply direct signal processing at an optical level by latching a confluence signal of an input optical signal and a feedback optical signal depending whether a bias signal is over its threshold value or not and generating an optical pulse synchronously with the input optical signal. CONSTITUTION:The feedback optical signal 5' and the input optical signal are confluenced by an optical confluence circuit 1 to supply an optical input signal 1' to an optical data latch circuit 2. In this case, a bial feedback current signal 4' from a current bias circuit 5 to the optical data latch circuit 2 is at a level in excess of a prescribed threshold value. Thus, the optical data latch circuit 2, when the level of the optical input signal 1' exceeds the optical threshold value, latches '1' to generate an optical output signal 2', which is given to an optical branch circuit 3, in which an optical signal 2' is outputted and the branched optical signal 3' is sent to an optical branch circuit 4. The optical branch circuit 4 branches the optical signal 3', the one is used as a feedback optical signal 5' to the optical confluence circuit 1 and the other is given to a current bias circuit 5. |
