PURPOSE:To enable a Ni-Fe magnetic alloy to be used as a cassette tape magnetic shield plate, etc. by covering the surface of the alloy with a corrosion resistant material layer such as Ni by cladding to prevent rusting in use in surroundings of high humidity or in long-time use in the air. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a relatively low Ni-Fe magnetic alloy contg. Ni; 25-60% is covered with a corrosion resistant material such as stainless steel, Cu or Ni (most suitable) by cladding. Thus, the corrosion resistance of the alloy is enhanced considerably, and the alloy can be used esp. as a corrosion resistant magnetic shield material. By this method, poor corrosion resistance of a cut section, a defect of a cladding method does not create a trouble. Since strong drawing with exfoliation is not carried out, the alloy is applicable to a cassette tape magnetic shield plate. |
