<p>Hollow glass articles in continuous prodn. are moved from one index rotated machine, rotating at one speed, e.g. which sets down >=1 article at once at each indexing step to another, being indexed at a defferent speed, with the time interval between take up of articles different from that at which articles are set down from the first machine. Specifically, a transfer device picks up several articles positioned at a given spacing on leaving the first machine, transfers them about an axis while altering their sepn. distance and deposits them with different final sepn. spacings on the second machine. Process is used in transferring glass parisons from a hollow press moulding machine and a machine for reheating the edges of the articles. Process avoids two separate operations, i.e. transfer and spacing alteration.</p> |
