The ski stopping brake has at least one brake arm capable of being swivelled downwards on one side of the ski beyond it's lower side into a braking position. The brake arm swivels round a swivel axis extending transverse to the ski's length axis and is held by a holding arm pressed down by the ski boot. When the ski boot is removed the brake arm is swivelled by a spring into the braking position. The spring, when subject to loads directed in opposite directions has the same or almost the same spring characteristics. The spring consists of at least one 'C' shaped bow (9) which fits with one end (14) to the ski (5) and with the other end (12) to the holding arm (3).
|
