The spacer grid serves the purpose of mutually fixing tubes (or rods) arranged in bundles in a triangular configuration, e.g. in steam generators or heat exchangers. The individual elements (5) forming the grid each consist of three circular cylindrical tube lengths (6) which are arranged in the triangle and directly joined to one another. The uniform diameter (2a) of the tube lengths (6) is larger than that (2r) of the tubes (3). Each tube length of an individual element is situated between two tubes, but touches only one thereof. Each tube (3) is held by three tube lengths (6) belonging to different individual elements. This spacer grid can be produced using simple means, is of high stiffness and causes only a slight reduction in the free cross-section between the tubes. The tubes, which are free from play in the transverse direction, can expand freely in the longitudinal direction. <IMAGE>
