A disinfecting gas for the sterilisation of water is obtd. by using two containers. One container is filled with an acid, is connected by a hose filled with fibre forming a pre-filter, and >=1 glass or ceramic filter to the second container. This contains the reaction chemicals, and the reaction only takes place when there is some vacuum is this second container. Used for the disinfection of swimming pools, drinking water and water for general purposes. There is no adding of chemicals to the water so that the equilibrium of the salts dissolved in the water is not disturbed. Impure and substitute chemicals can be used and there is no need for daily attention, since the appts. work independently.
