<p>The rapid fitting snowchain has at least five grip chains extending across the vehicle tyre and two lateral support chains, whose free ends are secured by a tensioning lever on one end of each loop. The tensioning lever enables the chain to be fitted without additional tools. The wheel does not have to be lifted out of the snow to fit the chain. The bent wire tensioning lever tensions the chain in the first part of its swing, followed by a release into a stable elastic position after passing a dead point.</p> |
