PURPOSE:To obtain portamento effect tones by providing means of adding correction values to change frequency information numerical values at specified timings and forming new change frequency information numerical values. CONSTITUTION:With the change frequency information numerical value F' being inputted to the B input end of a subtractor 12 as a current value FA and the frequency information numerical value F being inputted to the A input end of the subtractor 12 as a target value FB, the difference between this target value FB and the current value FA is added as correction value to the current value FA each time when portamento clock PCL is generated, whereby the current value FA is subsequently changed. Such operation is repeatedly performed until the current value FA coincides with the target value FB, i.e., the value of the differential signal D outputted from the subtractor 12 becomes zero, whereby the change frequency information numerical values F' subsequently changing toward the target value are formed and the portamento effect tones are obtained from a sound system 7. |
