<p>The sealing unit for closable openings, esp. doors or windows, has sealing profile pieces for the gap between the surrounding frame element and the closing element, fixed to one and fitting against the other when closed. It also incorporates strips made of material which foams under the effect of heat. The strips (1) are divided into compartments, which are moisture-proof, by part (2) of the sealing profile (3). This part may bound one chamber or a number, and can be monolithically formed on the sealing profile are attached to it. Chambers may be divided for strip inlaying along the gap, with the two parts closable by a push-button connection (6).</p> |
