PURPOSE:To prepare a highly pure staphylokinase useful as a fibrinolytic agent, by the affinity chromatography of microbial product using plasminogen as carrier ligand. CONSTITUTION:Staphylokinase-producing bacteria, e.g. Staphylococcus aureus RL-TS (phi2), are cultured in a medium, and the staphylokinase-containing fraction of the medium is subjected to the affinity chromatography using a carrier having plasminogen to separate the pure staphylokinase. |
