The trafficator circuit derives its clock pulse frequency from the dashboard quartz clock, with the signal tapped from the clock circuit and suitably amplified. The circuit can incorporate a failure flasher indicator in which the flashing rate is changed. The quartz oscillator based clock pulse rate is stable over a wide temperature range as well as a wide range of input voltages. It provides a simple solution to the flasher design and can be incorporated into most vehicles.
