Headings D1K, D1S and D1W.- An imitation fur fabric is woven face to face using as the pile a plied yarn comprising a yarn including non-shrinkable staple fibres, fibres, plied with a continuous filament yarn of shrinkable material. In examples, the filament yarn comprises twenty, 5 denier filaments of polyvinyl chloride, and the staple fibre yarn comprises 3 denier non-shrinkable acrylic fibres, or 3 denier shrinkable polyvinyl chloride fibres and 15 and/or 25 denier non-shrinkable acrylic fibres. In the woven fabric the tufts are cut, and then brushed using metal spikes to straighten the tufts and remove any fibres not held. The shrinkable fibres are shrunk using heat, and the fabric finally combed or brushed. |
