<p>Cyclopentane derivatives of the general formula wherein R is hydrogen or lower alkyl; R1 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, carboxy, lower alkoxycarbonyl, hydroxymethyl, lower alkoxymethyl or the group ; R2 is hydroxy and R3 is hydrogen or R2 and R3 together form and oxo group; R4 is hydrogen, lower alkyl or fluoro, R5 is hydrogen or lower alkyl; and the dotted bond can be hydrogenated; with the proviso that when R4 and R5 are both hydrogen, R1 is lower alkoxycarbonyl, hydroxymethyl, lower alkoxymethyl or the group , and enantiomers and racemates thereof. The compounds are therapeutically active.</p> |
