<p>COUPLED VANE ROTARY FLUID DEFVICE A rotary fluid device with a rotor eccentrically mounted to rotate in a chamber having a plurality of movable vanes mounted on the rotor to slide in sealing contact with the interior wall of the chamber as the rotor rotates. The vanes are mounted in diametrically opposed pairs by means of radially extending support rods, which vanes protrude through slots in the rotor to engage the peripheral wall of the chamber. These rods act as tracks for the vanes to radially slide and offer a system of mutual structural support. In addition, two of the rotary fluid devices are combined to form a two stage rotary engine.</p> |
