PURPOSE:To obviate entry of contaminations to the floating face of flat part by dispersing and disposing sliders in the direction at a right angle to the travel direction of recording medium surface. CONSTITUTION:With the front floating faces 112, 122, the tapered floating faces 113, 123 create an increase in pressure P from their front end position and a maximum pressure peak P3 is generated near the boundaries 115, 125 of the taper part and flat part. The sharp pressure decrease after the maximum pressure peak lets dewing by adiabatic expansion to be caused. This dewed moisture absorbs the oil vapors, etc. in the atmosphere and becomes liquid drops which will then deposit on the front floating faces 112, 122. Here, the front floating faces 112, 122 and rear floating faces 111, 121 are not on the same track and therefore the liquid drops collect on the front floating faces of a relatively large clearance from the magnetic disc or collect at the trailing end behind these and are discharged from the trailing end without flowing to the rear floating faces. |
