PURPOSE:To increase the specific Young's modulus, improve the frequency characteristics, and enhance the acoustic characteristics, by impregnating a solvent to dissolve acetyl cellulose into a disphragm formed by sheeting fibers partially acetylated, and then drying. CONSTITUTION:Fibers which are sheeting material, have only the surface acetylated to be acetyl cellulose by partial acetylation, which is sheeted and formed into a cone type diaphragm. On the surface of this diaphragm is sprayed or impregnated a solvent to dissolve acetyl cellulose, and the diaphragm is dried in an oven to fly away the solvent. Thus, the acetyl cellulose on the surface of fibers 3 bonded by interlocking caused by fibrillation may be removed, and only the interlocked parts 4 are joined together, so that the fibers are bonded with a large bonding force, resulting in a sufficient Young's modulus. Moreover, the specific Young's modulus may be increased without increasing the mass. |
