When a steel ball (24) travelling along the playing surface (13) of a pinball machine drops through an apertures into one of several aligned cups (19) the cups move by gravity closing a circuit (31, 32, 16) for scoring and operating a mechanical linkage (23, 27) causing rapid arcuate movement of the cups to "throw" the ball back into play. In another embodiment, when the ball passes through a chute which is provided with a series of conductive domes (38), Figure 5, it closes a circuit through a conductive wall to effect a scoring operation. <IMAGE> |
