<p>The transverse transfer conveyor has several endless conveyor tracks which link two parallel tracks that form part of a steel rolling installation. Both ends of the transfer conveyors overlap the two parallel tracks and by two hydraulic cylinders can be vertically adjusted to above or below the track level. When a rolled component is ready for transfer, the appropriate conveyor end is raised so that the component is lifted off its track. At the opposite side, the component can be placed on the exit track, or it can be kept in a waiting position with the conveyor end below the track level.</p> |
