<p>PURPOSE:To stop automatically a tape at a scanning position where a rotary head scans with the minimum noise generation within a screen, at the time of still picture reproduction or slow-motion reproduction. CONSTITUTION:Rotary video heads 2 and 3 are different in azimuth; head 2 has track width nearly equal to the track pitch of a recording track, and head 3 has track width 60% wider than the pitch. To reproduce a still picture, switches SW2 and SW3 are both changed over to contacts S. Magnetic tape 7 runs and head 11 detects control signal 12, so that monostable multivibrator 42 will be triggered. Delay time (t2) of monostable multi-vibrator 42 is selected considering the time when the magnetic tape runs by the fixed length. The output of monostable multivibrator 42 causes motor 24 and capstan 21 to stop rotating.</p> |
