The distance piece is for visible concrete ceilings etc. to fix reinforcing mats or rods, at relative distances to each other or in a chosen position. The grid-shaped upright distance piece has two or more longitudinal rods, which are straight or bent, with connecting vertical rods projecting beyond the lower longitudinal rod. The section of the vertical rod projecting beyond the lower longitudinal rod(2) deviates from the vertical by 5-45 deg., pref.10-35 deg. The vertical rods are bent alternately to either side.
