Epoxy resin polyadducts are prepd. during moulding by reacting epoxy cpds. contg. >1 epoxy gp. per molecule opt. contg. solvent, pigments, filler and modifying agents with the reaction prods. prepd. by reacting (A) aminoamide cpds., aminoimidazoline cpds., imidazoline gp. contg aminoamide cpds. and/or polyamines with (B) Mannich bases prepd. from (1) HCHO, (2) mono- and/or polyphenols and (3) sec. amines with amine exchange and the splitting off of sec amine. The compsn. hardens at low temps. and high RH to form tack free films and has a relatively long pot life with a relatively short hardening time. The hardener is free of phenol and non-toxic. The compsn. may be used in coatings, adhesives, for laminates for casting.
